Mercedes has been making luxury vehicles for many generations, though when it comes to designing high-performance automobiles with serious engines, Mercedes is nothing without AMG. As one of the most esteemed names in the motor industry, AMG has been manufacturing race-winning, multiple-title supercars for quite some time.

The AMG C63 is somewhat of a fighter jet in the long line of AMG with incredible top speed and remarkable design, which is precisely why we felt the need to give it the praise it deserves.

History of the Mercedes-AMG C63

The Mercedes AMG C63 came about in 2015, becoming an instant classic in the world of sports cars. It was somewhat of an offshoot of the AMG-GT, utilizing the same turbocharged V-8 engine. The very first C63 deliveries ended up taking place in the earlier part of 2015 while the U.S. had to wait another year.

An Instant Classic in Design – the Mercedes-AMG C63

The 2019 C63 AMG from Mercedes is the last of the naturally-aspirated V-8 engines that we believe Mercedes will produce. It comes with a 6.2L V-8 that produces a whopping 503 horsepower. Even with the ultra-powerful engine, it is able to get 27 mpg. Some of the top features include the Direct Injection and multi-spark ignition, the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and active brake assist.

A Continuation of the Mercedes-AMG C63 (2015-Present)

The AMG C63 was originally released in 2015 with a base model featuring 469 horsepower that could run from 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds. In 2016, the company released a coupe model known as the C63 Coupe. It has some very distinct features that differentiate it from its tamer cousin.

The front bumper on the coupe is far more aggressive with larger scoops that help to bring more air into the 4.0L twin-turbocharged V-8. It has added high-performance brakes and a unique grille with ripples that run up the hood.
